We’ll walk through the Antiochia about 5 kilometers, an ancient city spread over a large area. After 3 km we’ll reach the historic castle on the peninsula. The region is famous for banana breeding. You will see fantastic banana gardens around.
There are two bays in the eastern part of the castle. One of them is called “King Bay”, the other one is called “Delikdeniz ( a Hole in the Sea).” Here we’re giving a break for a swim.
Antiochia ad Cragum Ancient City
It is located in Güney Village, 18 km from Gazipaşa district. It is also known as Nohut yeri. The region covers a mountainous area on a steep slope to the sea. The altitude is 225 m. The ruins in the region include a necropolis, an avenue with columns along both sides, a church, a Turkish bath, an agora, a monumental gate and middle age castle walls. Antioche Ad Gragum IV is a king of Commagene. The capital of the kingdom was Adıyaman. The town was populated during the Roman and Byzantium periods.
